We want every call to be one the person is happy to get. This page explains the calling rules we follow and how we verify businesses.
The rules we follow
Calls in India are governed by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) through the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 (TCCCPR 2018) and its amendments, and by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). We follow the latest directions as they change.
Consent-only calling
We call only your own leads who agreed to be contacted by you: people who filled your form, answered your ad, or asked for a call. You confirm this for every list you upload, and you must keep proof of consent. We do not provide, buy or rent phone number lists.
Calling hours
Calls are made only between 9 AM and 9 PM. Our default is Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 7:30 PM. Leads that come in at night are called the next morning. A callback the customer asked for is made at the time they asked, inside these hours.
DND and NCPR
A call about a person's own enquiry is a service call about their request. Promotional calls, offers to people who have not asked, are checked against the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR / DND) and are not made to numbers that have blocked them.
DLT and 140-series numbers
Under TRAI rules, promotional voice calls must come from a registered telemarketing number (the 140 series) with DLT registration. Ring My Leads is built for enquiry follow-up, not cold promotion. If a campaign is promotional, we tell you before it starts, and we run it only after the DLT and 140-series setup is in place, or we do not run it.
Opt-out and do-not-call list
If a person says they do not want calls, the call ends politely and the number goes on your do-not-call list at once. Numbers on that list are skipped in every future upload. You can also add numbers to it yourself in the dashboard.
Honesty and call recordings
Our AI never pretends to be a human: if a person asks, it says honestly that it is an AI assistant of your company. Calls are recorded so you can check quality and follow up. Recordings and transcripts are only shown to you and your team, and are kept as our privacy policy says.
Uses we do not allow
- Loan recovery or debt collection calls that harass or pressure people.
- Political calls.
- Gambling and betting.
- Adult content.
- IELTS, immigration and study-visa services.
- Anything illegal.
The full list is in our acceptable use policy.
KYC policy
Phone networks and the law need us to know who is calling. So every business is verified before the first real call. It is usually done the same day.
Documents we ask for
| Business proof (one) | GST certificate, or Udyam registration, or shop and establishment licence. |
|---|---|
| PAN | PAN of the business, or of the owner for a sole proprietor. |
| ID of the person signing up (one) | Aadhaar (masked, showing only the last 4 digits), or Voter ID, or Passport, or Driving Licence. |
How it works
- Upload the documents when you sign up.
- We may do a short video call to match the person with the ID.
- We may ask for more proof if something does not match, or if the business is in a sensitive field.
- We may refuse an account that does not pass KYC. No calls are made before KYC is approved.
How we keep your documents
- Stored securely, with access only for the people who verify accounts.
- Used only for verification and for questions from regulators or phone networks.
- Never shown publicly and never sold.
- Deleted on request after your account closes, unless a law or an open complaint needs us to keep them longer.
Report a call
Got a call you did not expect? Message us on WhatsApp at +91 90464 66767 with your number. We stop calls to it at once and check the business that uploaded it.
